![]() One of the most read Swiss newspapers, NZZ criticized the role of Swiss officials in the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia. Swiss newspaper criticized Swiss administration for accepting mediating between Turkey and Armenia. NZZ wrote that Swiss administration mediated between Turkey and Armenia, and convinced parties signing protocols towards establishment of diplomatic relations. NZZ said that Switzerland should not have mediated for an agreement between two countries, since Turkey continues to deny so called Armenian genocide. Criticizing mediation policies of Swiss officials NZZ wrote, “Should we conclude that Switzerland and United States does not take the issue of „genocide“ seriously anymore? Or maybe they did this for Turkey’s sake? Or maybe because they are just fools? It is acceptable if Federal Ministers lose their prestige as a result of wrong diplomatic moves they make. But it seems that neither Swiss ministers nor the others are not aware that these people are out of their minds. Maybe Kaddafi has understood this?” |
