![]() Turkish Defence Minister Vecdi Gonul has outlined plans to reinforce Turkey’s borders. He said that the struggle against the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) remains the top priority. Gonul said that the PKK's efforts are weakening, while Turkish security services are resolute in their struggle against terrorism. The defence minister said that 18 border posts will be constructed on the Syrian border, 17 on the Iranian and Iraqi border and 11on the Armenian border by the end of 2010. |
