![]() Brigadier General Ziya Yergok’s memories “From Sarikamis to captivity 1915, 1920,” brought the atrocity of Armenians on the agenda once again. The statements of an Armenian merchant from Erzurum that Brigadier General Ziya Yergok came across in Baku proves that Dashnak terrorists tortured not only Turkish people but also Armenians of Anatolia. ARMENIAN ATROCITY Was born in Erzurum andhad workedas a merchant in Erzurum for long years, Vahan Midijiyan told Brigadier General Ziya Yergok about the atrocity of Armenian partizans as, “Ah those Dashnaks. They destroyed our family!” Documents that include these most concrete pictures of history is brought to light by Commander Sami Önal’s book. “FROM SARIKAMIS TO CAPTIVITY” Compiling the memories of Brigaider General Ziya Ergok in a book titled “Sarıkamıştan Esarete 1915, 1920,” another citizen of Erzurum, Sami Onal showed that allegations of Armenians on 1915 events is denied again by an Armenian citizen. The work of Sami Onal proves with historical documents that Armenian allegations are nothing more than fabrication. “WE SUFFERED A LOT BECAUSE OF DASHNAKS” The memories of Brigadier General Ziya Yergok includes the grievances of an Armenian merchant from Erzurum who had to immigrate to Baku. Armenian merchant blames the Dashnaks because of the civil war in 1915 and spills out hatred against Armenian terrorists. Sami Onal’s book quotes Armenian merchant Vahan Midijiyan as saying; “We are so miserable in Baku. I am here, and children are in Revan and we are all groaning in suffer. Ah those Dashnaks. They destroyed our families. There was prosperity. We were dealing with trade and art. We were not even sending our children to army. Our children were not dying as Turks were in Albania, Arabia and Yemen. Our schools were open and amount of illiterate people were so little. Several people were reading and writing Turkish language better than most of the Turks. There were every kind of Armenian public employees and high level officials. In appearance Turks were seeming like they were in charge but in fact the ones who were ruling were Armenians. Briefly, we were among the happy nations in the earth. But because of Dashnaks we suffered of indescribable pains. We lost our leaves. Ah those Dashnaks. Ah those Dashnaks.” Stressing that his statements should not be considered as flattery, Armenian merchant tells to Turkish Brigadier General, “We are in Azerbaijan now. Here is not my homeland, neither yours. I do not demand anything from you, or you are not asking to me for some favor. Because of that, my words are nothing but the truth. The words from my heart. There was a cruelity and the reason for that was Dashnaks.” Commenting on the statements of Vahan Midijiyan, author of the book states that Midijiyan was not a theoretician, a militant or a historian but an ordinary Armenian citizen who suffered as the members of other ethnical elements of Anatolia during the civil war in 1915. |
