Armenian Ministry of Defence Seyran Ohanyan said that Azerbaijan’s warning of war does not mean anything for Armenia. “If they had an intention of war, they would not be announcing it,” said he.

“In my opinion, the probability for Azerbaijan to initiate a military operation is low. Our studies on the issue shows that Azerbaijan is not ready for war now. On the other hand, Armenian military should be ready for such option,” said Ohanyan.

Forgetting about the fact that he is the Ministry of Defence of the country which continues occupation on 20 percent of the lands of Azerbaijan, Ohanyan said, “Ilham Aliyev should struggle to solve the problem by the method of peaceful negotiations within the norms of international laws, as our President Serzh Sarksyan does.”

Ohanyan said, “If Azerbaijan suddenly starts a military operation, Armenia is ready to respond it by the same methods.”

To a question whether CSTO will assist Armenia if Azerbaijan starts a military operation against Armenia, Armenian Minister said that CSTO has to assist Armenia within the frames of treaty.
