“Destruction of our religious and cultural monuments in occupied territories can clear the way for the danger of inter-religious confrontation”, said the chairman of the Religious Council of the Caucasus, Sheikh-ul-islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh at the World Policy-2012” forum in Istanbul.

He stressed that, President Ilham Aliyev has achieved great successes in the restoration and repair of historical-cultural monuments, mosque and sanctuaries, temples belonging to Christians, Jews and other religious, providence and protection of belief freedom of country’s citizens: “One of the unsolved problems in Caucasian region is Karabagh Conflict. 20% of Azerbaijani territory was occupied by Armenians and we have more than 1 mln Internally Displaced Persons. Our religious and cultural monuments in the occupied territories were destroyed. In turn, this can clear the way to danger of inter-religious confrontation”.

World Policy-2012 is lasting.
