The recent statement made by Armenian President shows that the tense situation in the country is still going on.
The remarks came from member of the Azerbaijani Parliament Aydin Mirzazade.
Serzh Sargsyan said at a congress of ‘Together’ Youth Movement in Sevan Lake a few days ago that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be solved peacefully. He added that Armenia’s key aim is to prevent Nagorno-Karabakh (Nagorno-Karabakh separatist regime) from coming under control of Azerbaijan and that the sooner independence of Karabakh is recognized, the better it will be for everyone.
“Sargsyan lacks knowledge of diplomatic rules and international law. Official ideology and official policy of Armenia have failed. Arming Armenian youth with radical ideas, he tries to divert them to the path of Armenian terrorist groupings abroad.”
“Efforts made today show that Armenia will never abandon aggressive policies until it faces some power on its way. The policies pursued by Azerbaijani President have driven Armenia into a desperate situation. The country which has remained on the sidelines of international projects and faces deteriorating socioeconomic situation had ended up in a deadlock due to Azerbaijan’s correct policy,” the MP said.
Armenia’s attempts to create a state on Azerbaijani lands will never succeed, the MP added.
“If these efforts did not succeed for twenty years, it will never do any further. Future generations of Armenia will strongly condemn the country’s current leadership for this.”
