Armenia will end up in such a situation that people will be forced to escape their country.

The poor living conditions of people in Armenia are due to Sargsyan’s reluctance to abandon aggressive policies.

The remarks came from Hikmet Eren, chairman of the Association of Eurasia Economic Relations, while commenting on an article in Armenia-based Haykakan Zhamanak newspaper claiming that in 2010 the people in Armenia suffered worse nutrition on the backdrop of an official economic growth than in 2009.

“Armenia will end up in such a situation that people will be forced to escape their country. The country is stepping towards this. However, Sargsyan administration takes pride not in peace, but occupation of Karabakh and also seeks to gain Agri Dag, too. This is something not characteristic of a normal politician. The policies pursued by politicians in the country are directly reflected in consumer baskets of ordinary people,” Eren said.

The expert sees abandoning aggressive policies as the only way out for Armenia.

“Otherwise, the hunger-stricken will revolt in Armenia. People migrate to other countries through various means at present. The number of youth is shrinking. The political course Armenia pursues today affects all spheres of life in the country,” Eren noted.
