“I condemn visit of French parliamentarians to Nagorno-Karabakh without permission from Azerbaijan.
The French MPs’ visit to Nagorno-Karabakh shows that France pursues policies based on double standards despite its one of the three OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs mediating solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The remarks came from member of the Azerbaijani Parliament Malahat Ibrahimqizi in her remarks for the ruling New Azerbaijan Party.
France is one of the countries which is a home to a strong Armenian lobby and some French MPs are undoubtedly under influence of the Armenian diaspora, Ibrahimgizi said. OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs engaged in the conflict resolution need to be completely neutral, she added.
“I condemn visit of French parliamentarians to Nagorno-Karabakh without permission from Azerbaijan. If they had good intentions in Karabakh, they would have requested permission from relevant authorities in Azerbaijan,” the MP noted.
