Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu says the current tensions with some neighboring states result from those countries' policies.
In an interview with the Turkish TV channel NTV, Davutoglu addressed the tensions with with Armenia, Syria and Iraq in the light of his country's Zero Problems with Neighbors policy. He said ever since Turkey adopted the program those countries themselves are to blame for the existing problems.
Armenia's non-constructive posture, Syrian government's use of force against civilians and Ankara's military operations against the PKK rebels in northern Iraq have amounted to tensions with the neighbors, Davutoglu has said, according to the Azerbaijani news agency 1news.az.
As for the Zero Problems with Neighbors policy, he noted that it does not imply indifference to the developments in the region or failure to take security measures.
