E-mail Print PDF

The Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can be resolved only within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Foreign Minister Elmar Mamadyarov said at a meeting with a delegation of several countries’ permanent representatives in the UN, the Foreign Ministry reported.

Mamadyarov stated that preservation of a status quo in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict by the international community is unacceptable.

Mamadyarov informed the foreign diplomats, who are on a visit to Azerbaijan, about the country’s socio-political life, energy policy and international and regional economic projects, in which Azerbaijan participates.

He also called on the diplomats to support Azerbaijan’s candidacy in the election of a UN Security Council non-permanent member for 2012-2013.

The delegation includes diplomats of Cambodia, Benin, Mauritius, Namibia, Seychelles, Jamaica, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and other countries.
