The UN To Discuss Nagorno-Karabakh Issue in December

The “Situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan” and issue on “Protracted conflicts in GUAM area” will be submitted for discussion within the framework of the UN General Assembly’s 66th session on December 12, 2011, according to the Assembly’s draft program, UN News Centre representative said. It has been reflected in the working program of the 66th plenary session.

Both issues under numbers 35 and 39 – “Protracted conflicts in the GUAM area and their implications for international peace, security and development” and “The situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan” were proposed by the organization, as weren’t voted on during the 65th session, the source reminded adding, “there is a great chance that the 66th session will bring a significant progress to the issues”.
