Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno Karabakh Chairman Bayram Safarov said Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan awards murderers like himself today.

Sargsyan participated in jubilee events in Khankendi in connection with the 20th anniversary of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

He awarded a number of people with the state awards.

"Today, the whole world knows how much cultural centers and monuments were destroyed by these people," Safarov told Trend. "However, they should know that once they will be brought to justice and answer for their crimes".

Safarov said the fact that Armenians celebrate the anniversary of the so-called Nagorno-Karabakh, which is not recognized as a sovereign state by any country of the world, is absurd.

"Armenians themselves realize that the promises given by the authorities turned to be false, and they see no economic progress," Safarov said.

He said their messages posted on the Internet also evidence to this. They say that social and economic situation in Armenia is getting worse day by day following the beginning of the Karabakh conflict on the background of Azerbaijan's dynamic development.

"They understand that establishment of peace and prosperity will improve the welfare of even Armenians," Safarov said.
