E-mail Print PDF

French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s visit to the region is related to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The statement was made by political expert Gabil Huseynli.

'France seeks to obtain a role of moderator from Russia. France will get familiar with stance of parties, try to find compromise points and will probably come up with new initiatives. It already announces that it can bring both parties to a common denominator,' the expert said.

The expert also noted that France is known for its pro-Armenian stance.

'In some cases we see this state to take anti-Turk stance. Anyway, let’s hope that France will take a fair stance in a conflict resolution based on international law.'
