Armenian National Committee: “Ottoman marches embody “Armenian genocide””
Turkey’s famous Ottoman military orchestra’s plans to organize magnificent march in Los Angeles on October 3 caused protest by the Armenians.
Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) criticized the authorities of Los Angeles for their decision to welcome the Ottoman military orchestra and to create conditions for marching on the streets of the city.
ANCA said that the Ottoman march is “offensive and unacceptable” for them and therefore these plans should be cancelled. The committee said Ottoman marches embodied so called “Armenian genocide”. The authorities of Los Angeles have not responded the Armenians’ call yet, but ANCA called all local Armenians “to prevent this march peacefully”.
