Turkey Warns French Politician Over His Stance On Armenian Genocide Allegations

Turkish Ambassador to France Tahsin Burcuoglu has sent a letter to Francois Holand of the French Socialist Party over his stance on allegations of Armenian genocide, Tert.am reported. According to the Turkish news agency Anadolu, in the letter Burcuoglu warned Holand that if the Senate adopts the bill penalizing the denial of the Armenian Genocide allegations, it will seriously harm relations between Turkey and France.

Francois Holand, who is going to run for the Senate in 2012, has said he will bring the bill criminalizing the denial of so called Genocide to the Senate full agenda for approval.
