OSCE Secretary General Praises Russia's Role in Karabakh Settlement

Building trust as a basis for reconciliation is a necessary condition for progress in resolution of protracted conflicts in OSCE region.

This says an article of the OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, published in Russia's Kommersant newspaper.

'Assistance to Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement with prevention of further escalation of tension on spots is another priority trend in the work on which the positions of Russia and other key OSCE members coincide.

Russia's active participation in the activity of the Minsk Group and personal involvement of the Russian president in assisting to talks on the highest level between Azerbaijan and Armenia are important elements of the search of a solution', the OSCE Secretary General said.
