US Senator Comments On His Ban From Azerbaijan

'Though Azerbaijan’s decision is disappointing, I will continue my activity in this direction'.

The statement came from US senator Joseph Simitian commenting on inclusion of his name in the “black list” of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry for his visit to Karabakh.

Armenia-origin senator has recently visited Baku, Yerevan, then occupied Karabakh region of Azerbaijan without permission.

When he returned to the USA, Simitian said the step of the Azerbaijani side 'will not concern him'.

The senator said that “I wasn’t warned directly by Azerbaijan” and noted that after hearing the concern of Azerbaijani officials on Nagorno Karabakh, he visited Khankendi for hearing the opposite side’s opinion.
