“World Should Not Be Indifferent To Armenia's Aggressive Policies”

E-mail Print PDF

Azerbaijan pins hopes on the negotiating process.

But it also sees certain limits in this process.

The remarks came from head of the political analysis and information department at the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Elnur Aslanov in his interview with media.

The fact that Armenia procures arms from any state destabilizes situation in the region, he said.

'Armenia’s policies show that this country is committed to unconstructive stance. The fact that Armenia procures arms from other states hinders peace and stability in the region. The world should not remain indifferent towards aggressive policies of Armenia. The all four UN resolutions have not been fulfilled yet. The fact that the resolutions adopted by such an influential organization remain unfulfilled raises questions and points to double standards in global politics.'

Armenia seeks to maintain status quo by pursuing this policy, Aslanov added.

Azerbaijan is committed to the stance that the status-quo can not last longer in any case, the official continued.

'The President has reiterated this many times. It requires the world community to condemn aggressive policies of Armenia and step up pressure on it in order to restore peace and security in the region.'
