Turkish FM Excluded Armenian Humanitarian Aid To Reconcile Bilateral Relations

E-mail Print PDF

Turkish Today`s Zaman newspaper touched upon the humanitarian aid sent by the Armenian government and added that it will hardly play a role in uniting two states.

An Armenian official Gagik Kostandyan told journalists in the Erzurum airport that Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan called his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gül and told about his readiness to send aid.

Kostandyan added that Armenia always sent humanitarian aid when necessary. Armenia is ready to support when required for the two states to have good relations as they are neighbors, Kostandyan stated.

Turkish FM Ahmed Davutoghlu commented on the fact of Armenia sending humanitarian aid. Davutoghlu stated that these tragic days the aid may be accepted as a way of reconciliation between nations and states. However, Turkish FM excluded that humanitarian aid from Armenia will play a role on reconciliation between Armenia and Turkey on state level. Our position is well known on political issues, FM concluded.
