Nancy Pelosi, House Democratic Leader and a longtime supporter of Armenian Diaspora, has sent a letter to Azerbaijani Diaspora members.
She has sent a letter to Azerbaijani Diaspora members due to their latest campaign regarding reducing the US foreign aid to Armenia.
'Thank you for contacting me to express your views about the issues between the countries of Armenia and Azerbaijan. I appreciate hearing from you on these important issues', Congresswoman mentioned in the answering letter.
'President Obama’s budget request for fiscal year 2012 includes $44.3 million in aid for Armenia and $21.4 million in aid for Azerbaijan. US assistance is designed to promote regional stability and supplement US diplomatic efforts to resolve the ongoing dispute between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the status of Nagorno-Karabakh', she mentioned.
In the meanwhile, she assured Azeri Diaspora members that she will keep their comments in mind.
