Pro-Armenian Congressmen called on US Administration to stop the arms deal with Turkey.
Congressmen, calling themselves friends of Armenia, Howard Berman, Nita Lowey, Eliot Engel, Brad Sherman, Steve Israel, Shelley Berkley and Adam Schiff addressed President Barack Obama asking to stop $11-million arms deal operations with Turkey.
The Congressmen said Turkey had negative attitude toward Armenia, Israel and Cyprus, which were the US allies: “Turkey threatens Israel, blockades Armenia and occupies the part of Cyprus. Despite Ankara is our ally, it has negative attitude toward our friends and allies. It would be better if US attach attention to our concerns instead of selling arms to Turkey”, the Congressmen said.
