Attempts of Armenian separatists to operate flights between Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh are contrary to international law.
The statement came from the head of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh region Republic Bayram Safarov.
'Armenians and their supporters can take such actions. It is possible that they will carry out front, a demonstration flight. But I think that the people of Azerbaijan, headed by the Supreme Commander of Azerbaijan, have expressed its protest against this. Of course, they can carry out illegal flights, but once their planes will be not in sky but on earth', Safarov told journalistssaid Safarov journalists on a conference on the Constitution Day organized by the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh and the National Council of Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan.
Safarov said that the Azerbaijani people supports the foreign and domestic policy of President of Azerbaijan.
"There are international rules for the implementation of civilian flights, which prohibit flights over the territory of Azerbaijan on illegal routes. I think that all these attempts are provocative. Armenians can make any shuttle flight, and they have already done it. The flight from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh is possible. But this is substantiated neither economically nor otherwise. I am sure that that reasonable people in the United States, Germany, England, France will not engage in illegal flights over the territory of Azerbaijan, because they are well aware of the risks associated with security – their airplanes can be stopped in the air. There are international rules, and I do not think that they will not break them and make illegal flights. The leadership of Azerbaijan will not allow it", said Bayram Safarov.
