The Turkish Youth Union (TYU), which functions in Germany, began a signature campaign to declare null and void the bill on recognition of Armenian allegations regarding 1915 incidents, News.am reported.

The “Armenian genocide” bill was adopted in German Bundestag (Parliament) in 2005.

TYU President Beyhan Yildirim stated they are appealing to everyone in Germany and elsewhere to join their signature campaign. “Germany’s Turks were saddened very much when Germany’s Federal Parliament approved the bill on recognizing “Armenian Genocide”. We are carrying out a signature campaign to bring that bill into the agenda, once again, and declare it null and void. Also, we will present to the parliament two books about 1915,” Yildirim said, noting they plan on collecting around 50 thousand signatures, Haberturk reported.
