Armenians spread false information about dropping the resolution on Nagorno Karabakh conflict from Swedish parliament’s agenda.
Some Armenian sources spread false and groundless information that Swedish parliament dropped the resolution on Nagorno Karabakh conflict from its agenda as a result of strong pressure by the Armenian lobby, Swedish Azerbaijanis Congress reports.
Members of the Congress, particularly author of the resolution Mehmet Kaplan sent letters to the parliament.
Taking the situation around the conflict into consideration, the Swedish parliament keeps the draft resolution on Nagorno Karabakh conflict on agenda.
The Swedish Azerbaijanis Congress, founded a year ago, could establish constant relations with the country’s public organizations and prevent the attempts of the Armenian lobby to spread false information about Azerbaijan in the Swedish mass media and parliament.
In their interview with the Swedish Public Radio, the Congress members denounced the Armenian community’s false reports about the ethnic and religious cleansing policy in Azerbaijan. It was first interview with the representatives of Azerbaijani community in Sweden.
Chairman of the Congress Elmir Mirzayev said instead of supporting the Swedish Azerbaijanis Congress, other Diaspora organizations are dividing the community preventing the Azerbaijani lobby to carry out large-scale projects inside the Swedish society. “Calling the Congress’ work ineffective, some representatives of Azerbaijani Diaspora in Sweden stand in own light and delay the process of formation of objective thoughts about Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh conflict in Sweden”.
