Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization Taleb Rifai commented on the tours organized to Nagorno Karabakh.

Answering the question about it, Secretary-General said his opinion on this problem is similar to the decision of the UN.

“The World Tourism Organization is a specialized agency of the United Nations. Our opinion on this problem coincides with the decision and approach of the UN. It is very important that our views coincide with the views of the international organizations and community. We call on all the sides in the region to solve the problems as soon as possible,” he said.

Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization added that the current situation is in favor of none of the sides.

“This situation is in favor of none of the sides and impedes the development of the region. We hope all the problems will be solved in the short run and want all nations to get acquainted with all the beauties of the region without restrictions. Therefore, we will make efforts so that all the sides work to solve the crisis and the problem situation,” he said.
