The situation is not very good, but stable.
The situation on the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops in the south-west of the Tapgaragoyunlu village of Geranboy region of Azerbaijan is stable, said personal representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzey Kasprzyk.
"We can not say that at present there are some significant violations. The situation is not very good, but stable”, he told reporters on Thursday. “However, I am unhappy with the situation, since there are still some losses”
On Thursday, the OSCE conducted a regular monitoring on contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops. On part of Azerbaijani the monitoring was conducted by Kasprzyk, his personal assistant William Pryor and field assistant Antal Hedrich.
On the opposite side the monitoring involved coordinator of the office of personal representative of the OSCE chairman Imre Palatinus and field assistants Hristo Hristov and Marius Puodziunas.
"The people in the depths of the village live in peace”, said Kasprzyk. “I understand that the location near the contact line causes stress among people.
This is not surprising, because shooting is possible at any moment and people may suffer. I sympathize them very much”.
Kasprzyk said he hoped it would be possible to overcome the threat to the lives of civilians living in the vicinity of the contact line and help reduce violations.
