“France Replaces Its Representative To OSCE Minsk Group”

French co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group changed. Armenia’s Jamanak newspaper reported that French co-chair Bernard Fassier will be replaced by Jacques Faure.

It is said that Fassier would pay his last visit to the region late November.

Jacques Faure is France’s ambassador to Ukraine and his term of tenure in Kiev expires.

Faure worked in the central office of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1977-1980, he worked as a second secretary in French embassy in Warsaw in 1980-1981, as a first secretary in that embassy in 1981-1985.

In 1992-1994 he worked as French ambassador to Albania, 1994-1998 – as ambassador to Estonia.

In 1998-2003 he was a deputy chief of department on Eastern Partnership in French Foreign Ministry. In 2003-2007 he worked as ambassador to Slovakia. In 2007-2008 he was the head of the French Foreign Ministry European Office.

He has been working as French ambassador to Ukraine since 2008.
