E-mail Print PDF

The resolution on the “Armenian genocide” adopted by the parliament of Sweden – Riksdag two years ago was a wrong and ill-considered step, representatives of the ruling party of Sweden – the Moderate Party said at the meeting with the representatives of the Swedish Azerbaijanis Congress.

They said that historians should assess the historical events, the decision should be passed by the international court and organizations, not by the political organizations.

The members of the Swedish parliament agreed with the representatives of the Congress that the European Union should activate its involvement in the resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, which poses threat to the entire region.

They consider that the Swedish parliament has got superficial information about the conflict and mainly cites to the activity of the OSCE Minsk Group. With this respect the meeting with the representatives of the Swedish Azerbaijanis Congress is of great importance.

The representatives of the Moderate Party were informed about the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Khojaly genocide.
