As part of the campaign of Justice for Khojaly, initiated by the OIC Youth Forum, about the third part of the UN member-states recognize Khojaly as a crime against humanity.
OIC Youth Forum Secretary General, envoy Elshad Iskandarov said that in continuation of this activity, the forum sets the goal to gather over a million of signatures throughout the world.
He reminded that the OIC Parliamentary Assembly has passed a declaration in which it urged the parliaments of 51 countries to recognized the Khojaly tragedy as a crime against humanity.
'We are currently preparing a number of international events on the 20th anniversary of the Khojaly tragedy to be marked in 2012.
Particularly, the forum is planning to organize mass actions in more than 50 capital cities, demonstration of a documentary about the tragedy', he said.
Iskandarov said that the work in this direction is held not only within the framework of OIC but also the Council of Europe, UNESCO and other international organizations, reminding that the forum, which includes 51 countries from 57 OIC member-states, sets the goal to inform the world community about the rightful position of Azerbaijan on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno Karabakh.
The campaign of Justice for Khojaly is initiated by the general coordinator of the OIC Youth Forum Leyla Aliyev is aimed at the international political and legal recognition of the Khojaly massacre.
