Analyst Calls Karabakh 'A Global Problem'

E-mail Print PDF

The dual standards applied by Europe and the United States to this issue promotes the protraction of the confrontation and eruption of new conflicts in the region.

The statement came from professor of the Ankara University of Economy and Technologies, international relations analyst Toghrul Ismayil, Gun.Az reports.

He was commenting on the Karabakh conflict settlement.

"Despite this Azerbaijan reiterates readiness to continue the dialogue for the resolution of the Karabakh conflict. However, Armenia continues its occupational policy and thus shows that it is not the supporter of a dialogue. Meanwhile, the dual standards applied by Europe and the United States to this issue protract the confrontation and cause eruption of new conflicts in the region. Today Karabakh is also the problem of Russia, Caucasus, Europe, as well as countries overseas".

The analyst also added that despite international institutions male statements about inadmissibility of war to settle the conflict, the current state does not satisfy official Baku.
