“Hay Dat” Committee, which is one of the leading organizations of Armenian community in France, strongly protested the last speech of former co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group Bernard Fassier, Armenian news websites reported.

The statement released by the committee says that in his speech Fassier held preconceived position on Nagorno Karabakh conflict and now French government must clarify it: “Therefore, “Hay Dat” addresses the French Foreign Ministry and demands the meeting with Minister Alain Juppé in order to clarify this issue which caused the rage and concern of the Armenian community”.

Recently, Bernard Fassier, who participated in the hearings on Nagorno Karabakh conflict held in Paris, said that he understood Azerbaijan’s suffering: “The territories of this country have been occupied. Being a Frenchman, I know very well what the occupation is”.
