Head of the socio-political department at the Presidential Administration, Ali Hasanov commented on upcoming discussion of 'Armenian genocide' by the French Senate.

While talking to journalists, Hasanov said that such issued should be settled by historians rather than politicians, Gun.Azreports.

The department head noted that Armenia occupied Azerbaijani territories those who control Armenia are participants of awful Khojaly crime and should be brought to responsibility.

"We state beforehand that such fabricated issues will bring noting positive to interstate relations".

Hasanov noted that they view this issue from two spectrums.

"For some many years Armenians have been trying to urge world countries and parliaments to recognize so called Armenian genocide. Their claim is fabricated and has nothing to do with historical reality. No matter what parliament discussed it, we assess it as a fabricated case that didn’t happen in the history".

According to Hasanov, in fact, it's an anti-Turk policy of some other states and circles having similar interests with Armenia.

"We view and condemn it as a fabricated fact. Some countries supporting this issue have their goals but we as Azerbaijani state and society express our strict position against them. We view this issue negative from both spectrums and at the same time consider that it will very badly affect French-Turkish relations".
