Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday that the voting that took place at the French Parliament on the incidents of 1915 on Thursday showed how dangerous racism, discrimination and anti-Muslim sentiments have become in France and Europe.
Speaking at a conference on "Change in Muslim Societies and Role of Women" in Istanbul, Erdogan said that he felt it his duty to speak about the French vote on Friday in order to show where discrimination and racism still lived and as this was a common issue for the participants of the conference.
"French President Sarkozy can not find genocide in Turkish history. If he looked at the Turkish history, he can not find anything but the Turks' assistance, tolerance and compassion," Erdogan stressed.
"15 percent of the Algerian population in 1945 were subject to massacre by the French. This is a genocide. Algerians were burned in ovens and were brutally massacred. If President Sarkozy does not know the Algerian genocide, he should ask his father Pol Sarkozy," Erdogan said.
We Will Criticize Islamophobia, Racism And Discrimination
Erdogan said that they would criticize Islamophobia, racism and discrimination.
Speaking at a conference on "Change in Muslim Societies and Role of Women" in Istanbul, Erdogan said that the Muslims had values and experiences that could be a model to the whole humanity.
Our religion Islam actually means 'peace'. As the members of this peaceful religion, we have to be a model to the whole humanity, Erdogan stressed.
We need to raise our voice for girls massacred and pregnant women killed and women who jump on suicide bombers to protect their children in places such as Siirt, Batman, Bitlis, Ankara and Istanbul, Erdogan said.
Touching on an Armenian resolution adopted at the French Parliament on Thursday, Erdogan said that they took certain decisions in reaction to the resolution which was racist and anti-Islam.
As long as the attitude in France against the Turks continue, we will take the necessary steps and implement them, Erdogan said.

Turkey Continues Alliance Of Civilizations Project To Contribute To Global Peace
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday that Turkey continued the Alliance of Civilizations project with Spain in order to contribute to global peace.
Speaking at a conference on "Change in Muslim Societies and Role of Women" in Istanbul, Erdogan said that no one should be concerned and be worried with the future.
As long as the Islamic world gives hand in hand against Islamophobia, we will be making contributions to global peace, Erdogan stressed.
We will never make discrimination or support racism. We love the created as a part of the creator and will continue to love, Erdogan also said.
