One of the most important theologians of the Arab world, Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, said Friday that they were with Turkey against France who adopted an Armenian resolution on Thursday.
In a sermon delivered in Doha, Qatar on Friday, al-Qaradawi said that they strongly condemned France who adopted a resolution that criminalizes the rejection of Armenian allegations pertaining to the incidents of 1915.
Al-Qaradawi called on all Muslims to support Turkey.
The resolution adopted by France is a great insult on Turkey. The resolution constitutes a libel against the glorious Ottoman history. We condemn France for their decision. We are on Turkey's side, al-Qaradawi also said.
