President Sargsyan’s re-election may incite continuation of political and economic crisis, expert says.

Re-election of Serzh Sargsyan to the post of president poses a threat of war with Azerbaijan, according to the head of the PolitEconomy research center.

According to Andranik Tevanyan, President Sargsyan’s re-election may incite continuation of political and economic crisis, as well as a war with Azerbaijan.

Tevanyan called on all political forces including ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) to unite and achieve adoption of a new Election Code, as well as full transition to proportional voting system.

“I am a strategic partner of all those forces who do not support Serzh Sargsyan,” he stated, stressing his intention not to cooperate with Armenian National Congress (ANC) due to inadmissibility of ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrossian's views.
