Official Baku has repeatedly raised the issue of replacement of France within the Minsk Group on the peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict.
Azerbaijani ambassador in Ankara Faik Bagirov was speaking to Hurriyet newspaper commenting on the due statement of Turkish President Abdulla Gul.
"We wish that Turkey becomes one of the Minsk Group co-chairs", Bagirov said.
As for adoption of the bill criminalizing denial of the so-called 'Armenian genocide' in the French parliament, the diplomat said that the foreign minister and other officials have already voiced their opinion about this issue.
