The Azerbaijani side should demonstrate more strict reaction not only against construction of Khojaly airport but also against all illegal buildings in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.
The statement came from employee of Prague University of Czech Republic, political scientist Zamig Mammadli while commenting on illegal construction at Khojaly airport, Gun.Az reports:
“These lands have been under occupation for 18 years and neither Azerbaijan nor international organization is able to control event going on there. Laying road from Kalbajar to Nagorno-Karabakh thanks to indirect financial assistance of Armenian diaspora organization and foreign countries and moving Armenian families from Lebanon and Syria to other occupied regions show that this conflict indeed takes too long”, the political scientist noted.
Mammadli considers that by housing Armenian families in occupied territories, Armenia can hamper Azerbaijan to conduct anti-terror operations around Nagorno-Karabalh in the future.
“In this regard, it is high time to turn words and statements into actions. Azerbaijan has full right to do so”, Mammadli said.
