“Bill Adopted By French Parliament Directed Against Azerbaijan”

Behind the bill criminalizing denial of so called ‘Armenian genocide’ lays not only sympathy of France to Armenians but also the concern of Paris over aspirations and consolidation of Turkey.

The statement came from deputy executive secretary of “New Azerbaijan” Party, MP Mubariz Gurbanli.

“Armenians again became lever of the geopolitical battle – such is their destiny. Throughout the history, big countries used this miserable nation for the sake of their own interests. Yet, no one can sway Turkey in its selected path”, Gurbanli said in his interview.

Gurbanli notes that the adoption of the bill is directed not against only Turkey but also Azerbaijan.

“Azerbaijan expresses a strong protest against the adoption of the bill in the Senate and will be near the brother country in this issue”, Gurbanli stressed.

The Azerbaijani parliamentarian noted that by adopting this bill France, as a country declaring freedom of speech and democracy, will violate own principles.

“And it will spoil relations with many country for long. I think that French legislators still have enough common sense not to accept this absurd bill”, Gurbanli sai
