This visit of the president is a provocative act.

The visit of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region his participation in events in a military dress together with head of the alleged administration Bako Saakyan is nothing but a sign of desire to show off power to Azerbaijan.

The statement was told to Gun.Az by collaborator of Prague University, political analyst Zamig Mammadli while commenting of the Armenian president’s visit to Karabakh.

The analyst voiced necessity to bring this provocative fact of violation of Azerbaijan’s de facto recognized borders to the level of UN and OSCE.

“Such a visit gives basis to the Azerbaijan’s foreign diplomacy to prove once again that the Armenia side is in the state of a country that occupied Nagorno-Karabakh and to prevent any opportunity for so called ‘Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” to violate Azerbaijani territorial integrity. This visit of the president is a provocative act to prolong the peace process and cause provocation along the frontline”, Mammadli said.
