There is a plan to take necessary steps for recognition of the Khojaly genocide.
The statement came from MP, representative of the People’s Republican Party of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Ali Ozgunduz.
“However, today the majority of votes in the Turkish parliament belongs to the Party of Justice and Development. Our party has a low number of votes. If the ruling party brings the Khojaly issue to the agenda of the Turkish parliament, the People’s Republican Party will support it and as this issue concerns the whole nation, there can be no differences”, the MP said.
“The crimes in Khojaly were committed against humanity and are a real genocide. The world has to now that the real genocide was committed by Armenians in Khojaly and a historical place was razed to the ground”, Ozgunduz said.
