There is an impression that Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian is either ignorant of the documents or simply decided to go cunning.
The statement came from spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan Elman Abdullayev. He was commenting on the statement by the Armenian foreign minister who accused official Baku of ignoring the agreements reached during the negotiation process on the peaceful resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno Karabakh.
“The biggest problem is the occupation of Azerbaijani territory by Armenia. It is Armenia which occupies our lands and kills civilian Azerbaijanis up to children. There is a need to investigate the murders committed by snipers. We would also like to get the answer to the question whether the Armenian Foreign Minister E.Nalbandian is planning to hold a fair and sincere investigation of numerous facts of murders of Azerbaijani civilians by Armenian snipers?”, Abdullayev said.
The spokesman voiced regret that Yerevan remains unconstructive in the resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
“Unfortunately, Armenian leadership again makes efforts to fix the status quo which is the occupation of Azerbaijani lands resulting in the termination and ethnic cleansing of the Azerbaijani native population and its deportation. The world community, including the OSCE Minsk Group states, have repeatedly stated the need to change the status quo, which again shows the correspondence of the positions of Azerbaijan and the world community”, Abdullayev said.
