SENATE CONFIRMS JEFFREY AS US AMBASSADOR TO TURKEY

The U.S. Senate confirmed, late Thursday, senior diplomat James Jeffrey as the new United States ambassador to Ankara.

Jeffrey is expected to replace the outgoing Ross Wilson in the coming weeks.
