Azerbaijani and Turkish peoples should join efforts to resist the frequently emerging problems of the Turkic world.
The statement came from the co-chair of the interparliamentary group of friendship Turkey-Azerbaijan Nejdet Unuvar.
He was speaking Thursday at the meeting of the Turkish delegation with members of the interparliamentary group of friendship of Milli Majlis.
“Common problems make our states and peoples closer. We need to intensif our efforts to resist them and meet more often. We will further meet each other in Nagorno Karabakh too but we need to work much to this end”, he said.
Unuvar called the bill criminalizing the denial of the ‘Armenian genocide’ the general problem of the Turkic world.
“Within the framework of the visit, we held a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and witnessed the determination of the head of our state and the whole people of Azerbaijan to resist the adoption of this bill shameful for France”, the Turkish parliamentarian said.
“We need to develop, protect and strengthen our friendly ties. The peoples of Azerbaijan and Turkey should not yield to any provocations, aimed at sowing discord between our states”, said the co-chair of the interparliamentary group of friendship Azerbaijan-Turkey Nizami Jafarov.
