Senators opposing the adoption of a bill criminalizing denial of the so-called "Armenian genocide" by the Upper House of French Parliament will be sufficient, Deputy Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova told journalists on Friday.

She believes, there is a great chance that this bill will not be adopted at the Senate's forthcoming meeting scheduled for Jan.23.

Muradova said the Azerbaijani side both officially and through the public expressed its attitude towards this issue. "Our position remains unchanged. We are by the Turkish nation's side. We are together with Turkey. The struggle waged by the Azerbaijani public will yield positive results. I would like to believe that people who think the same way are more and the French Senate will say no to this bill.
