Some six Azerbaijani circles operating in France sent a joint letter to this country’s Senate against the bill concerning so-called ‘Armenian genocide’.
The authors of the letter called on the French parliamentarians to reject the bill on criminalizing the denial of genocides including so-called ‘Armenian genocide’,Gun.Az reported with reference to sondakika.com.
The letter noted that the genocide occurred in 1915 but by Armenians against the Turks.
“That time, Armenians ruthlessly killed over 40 people including women, children and elders. The Armenians supported by Bolsheviks committed manslaughters in many regions of Azerbaijan in 1918.
On 25-26 February 1992, the Armenians committed genocide against Turks in Khojaly and killed 612 peaceful civilians in one night. Armenia doesn’t back off its aggressive policy and keeps 20% of the Azerbaijani lands under occupation. We hope that the Senate will consider these facts and reject the adoption of the bill”.
