The law criminalizing the denial of made-up “Armenian genocide” will become effective in France in 2 weeks.
The Élysée Palace said that the president will sign the law in 2 weeks.
The draft law has passed from both chambers of the French Parliament and needs to be signed by Nicolas Sarkozy for becoming effective. The law includes one-year imprisonment and fine in amount of 45000 Euros for those who deny the made-up “genocide”.
