Georgian Deputy Speaker Sends Condolences On Khojaly Genocide

'I have heard and read much about Khojaly tragedy.

I offer my condolences to the Azerbaijani people over this tragedy. All the tragedies committed in the Caucasus are common tragedy of the region. Women suffered much in these tragedies,' Deputy-Chairperson of Georgian Parliament Rusudan Kervalishvili said, APA reports.

'As a mother I want peace in the Caucasus. I do not want such tragedies to happen again. I want peace to be established in the Caucasus,' she said.

Deputy-Chairperson of Georgian Parliament Rusudan Kervalishvili said the parliament adopted resolution №1325 'The attitude of women towards peace and conflicts', the document says every conflict must be solved peacefully.

'At the parliament we consider major issues related to our country. The issues related to the conflicts, tragedies and “Armenian genocide” have not been included into the agenda of the parliament yet. I find it difficult to express my opinion about it.

But I want to say that the genocide of our peoples is a great tragedy. Our brothers and sisters were killed in the tragedy. We will always fight for free and peaceful Caucasus,' she said.
