An Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh delegation will visit several European countries where they will hold protests to recognize the Khojaly genocide, Azerbaijani MP Rovshan Rzayev told Trend on Wednesday.
Members of the community alongside survivors will protest in Germany and Belgium until late February, he said.
A group of individuals will also participate in activities related to the Khojaly tragedy in Paris. At the meetings, persons who were in Armenian captivity on the day of the genocide will talk about the events they witnessed on that bloody day, Rzayev added.
"Twenty-three children who suffered on Feb. 26, 1992 in Khojaly have been on medical leave in Germany. Now five have joined these activities in Germany," he said.
The Armenian military forces committed genocide in Khojaly on Feb. 26, 1992. Some 613 people were killed, including 63 children, 106 women and 70 old men. A total of 1000 civilians were disabled during the genocide. Eight families were annihilated, 130 children lost one parent, and 25 lost both. Additionally, 1275 innocent residents were taken hostage, while the fate of 150 remains unknown.
