The agreement of town twinning between Bursa and Bulgarian City, Plovdiv that is signed in 3 December 1998, is canceled after the Povlodiv city council recognized alleged Armenian genocide.

City Council of Bursa, decided to cancel town twinning agreement that is signed 10 years ago with city of Povlodiv, Bulgaria, after City Council of Povlodiv recognized alleged Armenian genocide in its city council on 4 October, 2007.

City council gathered under the presidency of deputy mayor Fahreddin Y?ld?r?m, and council canceled the agreement of town twinning between Povlodiv and Bursa. City council decided that Bursa won
