Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Babacan said that Turkey suggested Caucasian Stability and Cooperation Platform for contributing the peaceful resolution of problems. Pointing that the suggestion of Caucasia Platform was found favourable by Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, Babacan said that Georgia would join to the platform after Russia leaves Georgian lands as a whole.
Reminding that Turkey had closed its borders to Armenia after Armenia invaded Upper Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, Foreign Minister Babacan said that Turkey was encouraging both countries for resolution of the conflict. Babacan said that there was a great potential for trade in the region in case of the resolution of the problems.
